“With your stem cells obtained from the fat tissues in your body, you are renewed and rejuvenated in the most natural and healthy way.”
All over the world, stem cell applications have been made from bone marrow for more than 20 years. In the last 8 years, fat-derived stem cell treatments have become increasingly common due to the various advantages they provide.
In our clinic, which is a pioneer in stem cell treatments in Turkey, it is successfully applied and natural results are obtained, especially in the hands, face, neck – décolleté areas, hair, breast augmentation and reconstruction.
What is stem cell technology?
The answer to the question of what is a stem cell; These are the cells that form a living thing starting from a single fertilized cell, that can transform into all the cells in the living body, and that can renew themselves continuously with their unlimited ability to reproduce. Stem cells are the only important source both for the body to come into being and for the body to survive.
In all tissues of an adult, there are adult stem cells as much as a certain percentage of tissue cells to ensure the integrity and continuity of that tissue. Its job is to compensate for tissue damage or loss that may occur due to injury and disease.
The separation of stem cells and injecting them into the patient for various treatment purposes is one of the greatest developments in the medical world. The most important function of stem cell treatments is to complete the missing and repair the tissue in the area where it is applied.
While there is sufficient number of cells in the human body at a young age, the cells decrease locally as they get older over time. The function of stem cell therapy is actually a youth vaccine that increases the number of stem cells in the desired area in the face of this situation.
Where are stem cells found and what do they do?
In all tissues of an adult, there are “Adult Stem Cells” that can form only that and similar tissues as a small percentage of tissue cells to ensure the integrity and continuity of that tissue.
Since these multipotent adult stem cells will differentiate into tissue cells in the next step, they can also be called progenitor tissue cells. The tasks of these cells are to compensate for tissue damage or loss that may occur due to injury, disease and other causes. For example, in finger injuries, the wound is healed in this way.
In which areas are stem cells used?
Uses of stem cells for aesthetic purposes:
- Stem cell therapy on the back of the hand treats the reduction in the tissue under the skin and loosening of the skin that occurs over time, the resulting vascular appearance, and the spots due to sun damage.
- Facial stem cell therapy removes lines, wrinkles and skin loosening caused by the decrease of collagen and elastin fibers over time and provides rejuvenation, removes acne scars formed after puberty and other spots and scars on the skin.
- Stem cell therapy to the neck and décolleté area treats sagging, wrinkling and staining caused by loss of skin and subcutaneous tissue due to aging.
- Stem cell therapy in hair is applied to prevent weakness and hair loss caused by different reasons, to prevent weak and dull appearance, and to provide healthy and bushy hair structure.
- Stem cell therapy in the breast is applied for breast reconstruction after breast cancer or for breast augmentation in people with sufficient fat tissue.
How is stem cell obtained, how is stem cell therapy done?
A certain amount of fat is removed from the patient’s body in a clinical setting, usually under local anesthesia or sedation. The amount of fat taken varies according to the area to be applied. Then, the cells are separated by going through special processes, that is, adult stem cell isolation is performed within 1-2 hours in the laboratory environment.
Stem cells obtained from the patient’s own fat tissue are injected with special techniques. It is an extremely effective and reliable method when applied by an experienced and expert team.
To summarize:
- It is a process that is applied to the person himself (autologous).
- There is no risk of allergy. Since the cells are taken from the patient’s own body, no reaction occurs.
- Does not require rest.
- No pain.
- Its durability is very high.
- Edema and bruises are less likely to occur.
- It is usually done under local anesthesia or sedation.
Why stem cells from fat?
Stem cells can be obtained by many different methods. In aesthetic surgery, the most used methods in stem cell treatments are those obtained from fat and bone marrow. There are various reasons why the stem cell derived from fat is more preferred. It is an important advantage that there are 500 times more stem cells per cm3 in adipose tissue compared to bone marrow. There are approximately 1 million stem cells in 1 gram of adipose tissue.
In addition, enriching stem cells from bone marrow is much more difficult, requires surgical procedures and takes longer than the alternative from fat. With the stem cell treatment obtained from fat, the patient both rejuvenates by replacing what is missing in his body, and gets rid of the excess fat in his body.
